If your idea of a great summer break involves a beer garden and a lakeside stroll, Munich delivers. But between mid-July and mid-September, that city is winding down for its August lull while Ibiza is running at full throttle. This is the island's loudest, brightest, most electric stretch of the year — and if you're chasing sun and sound rather than schnitzel, the trade is obvious.
Why now is the moment
Peak season on Ibiza isn't a marketing phrase. From July to early September the biggest DJ residencies are locked in, the beach clubs are open past sunset, and the water is warm enough to swim at midnight. The catch is that everyone knows this, so plan around the crowds rather than fighting them. Flights from Tel Aviv connect easily via one European hub, and once you land you'll rarely need Spanish — English runs the door at nearly every club and bar.

A quick ferry to Formentera, just south, buys you the clearest water in the Mediterranean and none of the noise.

Ibiza in high summer is expensive, hot, and relentless — and that's precisely the point. Come with a rough plan, pre-booked club nights, and a rented set of wheels, and you'll get the version of summer Munich simply can't offer this time of year.
